Choosing the right frame can really make all the difference to your artwork. Our goal is to frame artwork so it will look its very best – every time. We use only the finest quality wood, mounts and glass to ensure your artwork is preserved and presented in the best possible way.

Watercolours and Sketchwork

Watercolours, often painted on cards and paper, can be susceptible to damage from both moisture in the air and from the sun. So, in addition to making your watercolour look great, you need to take the right steps to protect it against the elements. We offer a wide range of acid free mountboards, and protective glazing options to help you do just that!

Oil Paintings

The subject matter of your painting and the size and shape will have a major bearing on the choice of frame. You can count on us to help you get it right.

Framing Artwork on Canvas can be tricky and is best left to the experts. We also hand stretch canvas here, making sure that artwork on canvas is stretched properly and will not sag over time.

Framing Pastels is quite an intricate process, particularly as they are very delicate in nature and require expert handling. But don’t worry, we’ve framed many pastels since we started and can ensure that your own treasured pastel is handled with expert care.

Whether it’s a bargain you picked up in the local market, or a signed Limited Edition LS Lowry, you’ll still want to make sure it looks the part. We have a whole range of options for helping you showcase your print, and in the case of valuable items, protect and preserve them for generations to come.

Ditch the blue tac, and give your posters a little more umph! Whilst a casual collector may wish to go out and buy a ready-made frame from some random Swedish furniture retailer, this should be avoided unless you either attach little value to the poster or don't wish to have it framed for very long. The best option instead is to find a local professional framer. At The Hallows Gallery, we can guide you in the best way to display and preserve your poster – particularly ones of historical or cultural value. The difference between store bought and handmade bespoke frames is a world apart both in terms of aesthetics and durability.
